Meet Your Trainer
Igniting Passion, Inspiring Purposeful Teaching

Dr. Laurie Jones Curtis
National Trainer
I’ve spent over four decades in education—teaching everything from kindergarten through eighth grade, working with future educators at the university level, and consulting with teachers across the country. But at my core, I’m still a teacher at heart who believes in the power of connection, consistency, and compassion in the classroom.
I’ve taught in rural, urban, and suburban schools. I’ve worked with students who had every advantage and others who carried the weight of the world in their backpacks. And across all those years and places, one thing has never changed: students thrive when their teachers are supported, seen, and empowered to do what they do best—teach with purpose.
I believe every student has the potential to be exceptional, and every teacher deserves the tools and support to bring out that potential. Not through trendy programs or the latest education buzzwords, but through real, practical strategies that work in real classrooms. Strategies that help teachers reclaim their time, refocus their energy, and reconnect with why they started teaching in the first place.
So much of my work now is focused on helping teachers manage behavior, build meaningful relationships, and create learning environments that are calm, consistent, and full of curiosity. I don’t believe teachers need to throw out everything they’re already doing. I believe they need small, powerful shifts that make a big difference—for them and for their students.
I’ve seen firsthand how hard this profession has become. I’ve also seen the joy, the humor, and the deep satisfaction that comes from being able to teach without constant disruptions, to connect with students who’ve been hard to reach, and to feel like what you’re doing matters.
That’s why I do this work. To stand alongside educators—not as someone with all the answers, but as someone who’s been there, who still believes in this work, and who’s not ready to give up on it. My approach is rooted in common sense, compassion, and the belief that when we support teachers, we change everything.
If you’re looking for ideas that are doable, strategies that are immediately useful, and support that feels human—not scripted—I’m here for that. This is more than a job for me. It’s a calling. And I’m here to help you keep showing up with purpose, power, and heart.
